In 1912, Charles and Willa Bruce, African American entrepreneurs, created a beach resort in Manhattan Beach, California. After their land was unjustly seized in 1924, their story lived on for generations.
In 2022, the land was finally returned to the Bruce family - a historic step toward repair and a reminder of what's possible when stories are told, preserved, and amplified.
